About Erin

Some people find their way to baking through culinary school or a food network obsession. I found mine through stress and deadlines.

I grew up baking with my mom. Flour on the counter, something always in the oven, and that love never really left me. Years later, when I was working in architecture, I started baking for my coworkers as a way to decompress. Turns out, feeding people something homemade and watching their faces light up was the best part of my week.

Eventually I traded my drafting table for a different kind of creative work. I'm currently finishing up my graduate degree to become a Licensed Professional Counselor. But baking followed me through every chapter, and now I'm leaning into it fully as Erin Bakes ATX.

Based in Austin, Texas, I take custom orders for cakes, cupcakes, and cake balls for birthdays, weddings, showers, and everything in between. My style is polished and personal; I love when clients come with a vision and then trust me to run with it. Flavor challenges are my favorite: think German chocolate, cookies and cream variations, and whatever we dream up together.
